It’s been a year of partnerships & growth for Hire It & Tool Time and we’ve ended on a high with Rugby World Cup Champion Kwagga Smith endorsing our Kwagga equipment…
It all started with our Kwagga branded equipment making a big splash in the media, generating coverage in multiple publications both online and in print. Our range of small plant was well received and we attribute that to it being powered by Honda so quality and reliability are not a question and being locally assembled meant that pricing is very competitive too! The Kwagga equipment range at that stage comprised of generators, rammers, plate compactors, power floats, drive units, vibratory pokers, concrete/asphalt cutters (floor saws), scarifies, water pumps.
The good new continued when our partnership with Honda for both our Kwagga equipment and Honda equipment saw Hire It & Tool Time become one of the leading Honda power products agents in KZN!
With load-shedding becoming an ever-present part of South African life, many businesses and home owners have decided that a back-up solution is essential and so our sales division Tool Time has been selling generators in all shapes and sizes all over the country. From large AKSA & SDMO Generators, to Inverter Generators and our very own Kwagga Generators, we’ve been sending them out as soon as our shipments arrive! We have supplied, schools, food chains, homes, golf estates, game farms and even churches.
During the year, we also kicked off a much anticipated partnership with Build It when they agreed to stock industrial tools and construction equipment from Tool Time starting off with their flagship store at Knowles Centre in Pinetown. We are now an approved supplier to Build It stores across South Africa and look forward to working developing this partnership even further into 2020.
Starting to Import our own stock has helped us grow and sell our products at competitive prices. Basically, it just means that you as our valued customers are guaranteed value at an affordable price and don’t have long lead-times with your orders because the stock is ready to go. With all this growth we even added an extension to our premises to hold additional stock and help keep our workshop clear for maintenance and repair work.
Our longstanding BEE partnership with Majozi Tool Hire continues to grow and we were very happy to see the completion of the amazing Umhlanga Arch, which was built using hired equipment supplied by us.
But, who can do a roundup of 2019 without mentioning our boys in Green and Gold bringing home the William Web Ellis Cup as Rugby World Champions! We were especially proud because HSBC World 7’s series winner, Commonwealth Games Gold Medalist, IRB Rugby World Cup Winner, Curry Cup Winner, Super Rugby finalist and Olympic medalist, Kwagga Smith was part of the team and was on his way to becoming our Kwagga Champion!
Kwagga Smith, left Japan and headed to our premises to spend the day with us and get to know more about our Kwagga equipment. As a farmer himself, he was very impressed with his Kwagga High Pressure cleaner and Kwagga Welder-Generator and keen to put them to the test back home. The more we got to know him, the more we liked him and I’m sure he can say the same for our equipment. Before you get your hopes up, unfortunately our Kwagga equipment doesn’t come included with the man himself, but it does come with his stamp of approval!
It was definitely a great way to end a great year and we are ready to come back in 2020 with all guns blazing! We thank you all for your continued support, wish you a happy holiday season and look forward to seeing you again in the new year. Signing out for 2019 from the Fraser Family and the rest of the Hire It & Tool Time team.
